What are the 1st Impressions Teams?

 

The 1st Impressions Teams are first and foremost people who want to serve the Lord and the church by welcoming and helping first time vistors, along with assisting with the general needs of the people of the church on Sunday mornings.

 

Who are included in the 1st Impressions Teams?

 

The 1st Impressions Teams are the Living Word Church greeters, ushers, Welcome Center and follow-up volunteers.  Each team has it's own separate leader(s) and team schedule.  The teams work together to assure visitors are welcomed and appreciated during the course of Sunday morning life at Living Word Church.  Visitors are then followed-up with after their first visit.

 

 

The greeters team is led by Shonna Siegers.  The greeters are responsible for being at the front or back church doors on their scheduled Sunday mornings.  Greeters welcome people as they walk through the doors and pass out announcement flyers or other information as needed.

 

 

 

The ushers team (known as the GateKeepers) are led by Craig Paul and Fred Harnisch.  The ushers are responsible for greeting people as they walk into the sanctuary for the Sunday morning service, helping people locate available seating, patrol the cooridors outside the sanctuary, and take up the offerings and assist with communion when needed.  Ushers will also help with other events through out the year as needed.

 

 

 

The Welcome Center Team is led by Christy Klippel.  The Welcome Center Team is responsible for being stationed behind the Welcome Center according to the schedule, answer visitor questions, sell books and music, and collect new visitor information received during the offering.

 

 

 

The follow-up team is led by Todd Cosenza.  The follow-up team is responsible for using the visitor information collected during the offering of the Sunday morning service and making a follow-up call, letting the visitors know their visit was appreciated and answering any questions they might have.
