Young Children's Ministry (2 Yrs. - 1st Grade) |
Living Word Church provides care and Biblical instruction for our younger children. Our classes are divided into three separate age groups - Age 2; Age 3-4; and Age 5 - 1st Grade (commonly known as the k/1 class).
 Children age 5 through First Grade will remain in the service with their parents until the Children's Dismissal sign is posted, usually at 10:30AM. At that time, the children are released to their classroom where they will also have a snack and an age appropriate lesson. The children will remain in the classroom until picked up by a parent after the service. For the K/1 Class schedule, the FIRST Sunday of the month is designated our Family Worship Sunday. All children age 5 and up are to remain with their parents during the service to hear a "kid-friendly" message. The is no K/1 class on Family Sunday.
 We strive to make the Young Children's Ministry one which blesses the entire family. Our goal is to provide a fun and loving environment to foster the learning of the Word of God.
Young children's ministry is coordinated by Laura Hogan. Laura has been working with young children since her teenage years. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1983, and worked in Day Care for ten years, beginning as an aide, progressing to teacher, and finishing her career as the school's administrator. She retired in 1991 with the birth of her first child.
 Laura and her husband, Bob, have been married since 1987, and have two sons, Sean and Patrick. The have been members of Living Word Church since April, 1995.
