Promiseland (2nd Grade - 5th Grade) |
Our ministry goal is to make "Promiseland" the BEST hour in every child's week by growing, developing, and nurturing children to love God and love People!
 We have passionate teachers and helpers who love Jesus and want to see the world changed through the next generation … using their God given talents and abilities such as singing, caring, decorating, painting, creating, puppets and drama.
Each Sunday all kids from 2nd grade through 5th grade join their parents for a time of worship in our 10:00 AM main worship service. At 10:30 the kids are released to gather in our children's ministry area (except for Family Worship Sundays).
 3 Sundays a month our PromiseLand Team create a fun learning environment by presenting a biblical message through drama and interactive teaching in a large group setting. Then the children break into small groups to discuss and learn how to apply the message given in the large group.
Promiseland is coordinated by Mandy Wynsma. Mandy graduated from Evangel University with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration, then spent 6 years teaching preschool, kindergarten, and as a preschool director.
 Mandy has been serving in Children's Ministry at Living Word Church since 1985...teaching various age children, and eventually serving under Dave and Samantha Prince in "Promiseland". She became a part-time Children's Ministry Coordinator (of 2nd-5th grade) in the spring of 2001. Her primary area of service is administrating "Promiseland" and providing support for the many wonderful volunteers who serve with us each week.
