Have questions about Living Word? Here are some answers to basic questions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our office at 708-895-4673.
What time is your Sunday service?
Our Sunday service starts at 10:00 am and runs until about 11:30 am.
What do you have for babies and young children at Living Word?
During the Sunday service we have a nursery for babies up to 2 years old and Sunday school
curriculum for children ages 2 years to 5th grade. We may also have childcare for
different events throughout the week. For more details on children's ministry,
click here for nursery and here for young children ages 2 years to 5th grade.
How can I get to Living Word Church?
We're essentially at the corner of Torrence Ave. and 186th St. in Lansing, IL, easily accessible
from both Illinois and northwest Indiana and conviently located near I80/94. For a map,

What is your worship style during your main Sunday morning meetings?
Our worship songs are a mix of contemporary worship by artists like Matt Redman, David Crowder, and
Darlene Zschech along with some traditional worship. At Living Word we feel free to lift our
hands, our voices and our feet in expressive worship to the Lord. For more information on Living
Word worship, click here.
What are your denominational ties?
Living Word is not part of a denomination per se, but we can be described as an evangelical charismatic
church. We are connected to a family of churches called "Churches Working Together",
which is led by an apostolic team called "LifeLink International". For more information
on Churches Working Together and LifeLink International, click here.
How are the church finances handled in order to assure good stewardship of money received?
Living Word has a Finance Committee comprised of elders, a financial comptroller (external to the eldership)
and a church accountant who assist in administrating the church finances. Most of the ministries in the
church have defined budgets that are managed by the leaders of those ministries. Our financial practices
are open to the church and the Finance Committee provides a financial report to the church on an annual basis
reporting both income and expenses.
Do you have a college age ministry?
Yes! Echo is a dynamic ministry for anyone 18-30 years old. Echo meets in it's own facility
located just off Rt. 41 in Highland, IN. For more information on Echo, click here.
